Plot inputs
Front and back sides are parallel. Enter the depth at the non-rounded front corner. The opposite side is calculated automatically.
Changing the unit converts all currently entered lengths, centre coordinates, gate dimensions and entered area.
Full theoretical front-side length up to the sharp corner, before rounding.
Front-right is rounded, so enter the plot depth on the non-rounded left side.
Distance from the theoretical sharp corner to the start of the curve along each adjoining side.

How to calculate the front-side outward bearing
N = 0°E = 90°S = 180°W = 270°
- Compass: stand near the centre of the front boundary and face straight outward, away from the plot. Record that bearing.
- Google Earth / survey: measure the front boundary direction. If measured left → right, add 90°. If measured right → left, subtract 90°. Normalize to 0°–360°.
- Example: a front boundary running about 210° left → right has an outward bearing of about 300°.
- Keep phone compasses away from steel, vehicles, electrical equipment and magnetic cases. Take several readings and cross-check with Google Earth or a survey.
- Use one trusted plot bearing consistently for all floors.
Advanced plot geometry — irregular sides / multiple rounded corners
Leave this on Standard simple plot for the normal front/back workflow. Advanced fields are used only when an advanced method is selected.
Four side lengths alone do not uniquely define a quadrilateral; the diagonal fixes the shape.
Enter boundaries around the plot in order A→B front, B→C right, C→D back, D→A left. Bearings are compass bearings.
The front outward bearing is derived automatically from the front A→B bearing.
Coordinates may come from CAD or a survey. Enter A=front-left, B=front-right, C=back-right, D=back-left.
Multiple rounded corners (optional)
Select any combination. Tangent is measured from the theoretical sharp corner along both adjoining sides.
Current limitation: advanced mode supports convex four-sided plots. Concave/L-shaped plots are intentionally rejected.
Enter area in sq ft. The app compares it with the calculated geometry.
Gate calculator
Distances on the front side are measured from its left end.
Uses the same unit as the plot dimensions.
Measured along the selected physical side from its stated start point.
The app finds a position where the centre of the gate falls inside this pada.
The entire opening must remain inside the continuous portion of these padas on the selected physical side.
PDF export opens the browser print dialog; choose “Save as PDF”. SVG and PNG are downloaded directly.
Traditional Vastu suggestions
Traditional planning guidance only. The geometry and measurements above are mathematical; these suggestions are a separate Vastu interpretation layer.
Preferred/acceptable padas use the same 32-sector calculation as the drawing. Lengths shown beside a pada are perimeter references, not room-suitability scores. Centre-only rules such as Brahmasthan do not have perimeter padas.
